Sunrisers Hyderabad Bought Ishan Kishan For A Staggering 11.25 Crore

SRH lost to the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2024 final, and they managed to amass a very formidable squad this season. Ishan Kishan will headline the SRH squad, as the Indian wicketkeeper has grabbed the eyeballs after being bought for a whopping 11.25 crore at the IPL mega auction last year. The 26-year-old wasn't retained by the Mumbai Indians and has already announced his arrival with a sublime century against the Delhi Capitals this time.

SRH looked pretty certain to go after the Indian star and was bidding pretty aggressively for him. SRH owner Kavya Maran was present at the auction and was involved in the process from the start. The moment Ishan was announced as an SRH player, Maran couldn't control her happiness, and a video has now gone viral on social media.

SRH Failed To Beat Their Own Record By One Run

SRH blew the Rajasthan Royals away with a brilliant batting performance in the last game. Apart from Ishan Kishan, both Travis Head and Abhshek Sharma played a pivotal part as they posted a whopping 287 runs on the board. They failed to beat their own record as they demolished RCB last season to put up a massive 288 runs on the board, the highest score in the IPL history. They are now facing Lucknow Super Giants in Hyderabad and will hope to repeat their batting display once again.
