Indian Premier League: The young Indian fast-bowler Mayank Yadav is likely to join the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) training camp soon as the 22-year-old pacer has already started net bowling practice at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. Mayank has been recovering from a lumbar stress injury which he sustained during his India debut in the T20Is against Bangladesh in October 2024. The young pacer gained people's attention in IPL 2024 for constantly clocking 150 kmph+. However, the youngster has to wait for the BCCI Medical Team's clearance to take part in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 with the Super Giants.
Mayank took to his official Instagram handle and shared a short clip of him at a net bowling session at the NCA. Soon after the clip was shared, the fans started hoping to see the 22-year-old take part in the cash-rich tournament soon.
Mayank played four matches in IPL 2025, bagging seven wickets at an economy rate of 6.99. The pacer was unlucky in the previous season as he was ruled out from the tournament after suffering an injury. In IPL 2024. In IPL 2024, LSG ended their campaign in the seventh place on the standings with 14 points at a net run rate of -0.667 and failed to qualify for the knock stage of the tournament.

Ahead of the IPL 2025 mega-action, LSG made some major changes in the squad. For the upcoming IPL season, LSG retained five players: Nicholas Pooran, Ravi Bishnoi, Mayank Yadav, Ayush Badoni, and Mohsin Khan.
IPL 2025 will begin on March 22, Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru will lock horns against each other in the opening fixture of the tournament. Meanwhile, LSG will begin their campaign against Delhi Capitals on March 24 in Visakhapatnam.
