IPL 2025: Virat Kohli is in high spirits after India won the Champions Trophy and that was evident when he arrived at Bengaluru's M. Chinnaswamy ahead of the 2025 Indian Premier League season. Kohli had the spotlight on him during the Unbox event on Monday and that is extremely expected. Kohli is truly treated like a demi-god in the country and the ovation he got when his name was announced is proof of it.

But it was this ‘Kohli’ moment that stole the show. It is no surprise that Kohli and veteran India pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar have shared the dressing-room on a number of occasions and they share a good bond. When the entire team was taking a lap around the stadium throwing sponge balls to the fans, Kohli started to laugh at Bhuvi's throw. The reason for it is unknown, but Kohli was in splits.

Meanwhile, Kohli gave fans many other moments to cherish from the incident. Kohli also got the opportunity to give his two cents on RCB's new captain Rajat Patidar. 

Virat Kohli Lavishes Praise On RCB Captain Rajat Patidar

While speaking at the ‘RCB Unbox Event’, Virat Kohli showered praise on Patidar and said that the right-handed batter would do a great job as the leader of the Bengaluru-based franchise in the upcoming season. The 36-year-old added that Patidar has got everything to become a captain.

“This guy is going to lead you for a long time. He is going to do a great job. He has got everything that is required (to succeed),” Kohli said at ‘RCB Unbox Event’ on Monday.

The talisman batter praised RCB's squad for the IPL 2025 and said that there's a lot of talent in the team.

“It feels amazing to be back. The excitement and happiness is like every other season. I have been here for 18 years and absolutely love RCB. We have an amazing squad this time around. Lot of talent in the team. I am personally very excited about this season,” Kohli added.
