Avesh Khan has officially joined the Lucknow Super Giants' camp ahead of their clash against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. The pacer expressed delight upon joining the team and credited the team management for making sure that he was not overworked, as the pacer was coming off an issue with his right knee. Avesh also expressed positivity upon his return and aims to make it to the IPL playoffs with the Super Giants this season.
The Lucknow Super Giants have received a huge boost in their bowling arsenal as Avesh Khan has joined the side. The pacer was seen training up with the Super Giants ahead of their clash against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. LSG recently suffered a monumental loss to the Delhi Capitals in their season opener clash, and they would be hungry to pounce upon a comeback win. For Avesh Khan, the road will be arduous as he is coming off an injury which kept him out for quite a while. However, the management is making sure to incorporate proper workload management for the pacer.
"I am back in Lucknow, so I am very excited about this season as well. When in played for Lucknow for two seasons, the team qualified, so I will try my best to give a good start to Lucknow again.
"The management wants me to stay a little relaxed and not feel burdened because if we play in a relaxed manner, we will also be confident at the same time. We will back our skills and give our hundred percent," Avesh Khan said in a video shared by the Lucknow Super Giants on 'X' [Formerly Twitter].
Lucknow Super Giants' upcoming competition against the Sunrisers Hyderabad will be a test of sustainability in the IPL 2025 season. While the team has played only one game, they crumbled the opportunity to seal a win against the Delhi Capitals after Ashutosh Sharma came out of the syllabus for them.
The clash against SRH could be the beginning of Rishabh Pant's redemption arc, as LSG could make use of the flat tracks and get themselves a big score, but Hyderabad is no easy team, as they nearly broke the record for the highest team total in the history of IPL.
The Hyderabad vs Lucknow clash will take place today at 07:30 PM IST at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
