Shardul Thakur Stands Out With His Effective Bowling Display

Shardul Thakur continued his dominant performance with the ball as he picked up a four-wicket haul against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. The hosts saw their top-order crumble easily after dismissing opener Abhishek Sharma and then taking out Ishan Kishan for a golden duck. Opener Travis Head missed out on his half-century after being bowled out by Prince Yadav at 47. After the threat was neutralized, the game pivoted in LSG's favour as they picked up key wickets to keep SRH under control. The middle-order tried to gain some pace, with Aniket Verma smacking some big shots to score a 13-ball 36 before eventually being dismissed. Klassen's bizarre run-out was an unfortunate sight for them as he could have been a huge contributor in terms of runs for SRH.

All of the Lucknow Super Giants' bowlers secured a wicket to keep SRH at bay. Apart from Thakur's four-wicket haul, Digvesh Rathi, Ravi Bishnoi, Prince Yadav, and the returning Avesh Khan secured a wicket each. Lucknow worked well as a unit after the tough loss to Delhi Capitals , and they will be stronger as they move ahead in the campaign.
