The Lucknow Super Giants have won the toss against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. LSG skipper Rishabh Pant has elected to bowl first, which would be a surprising choice since Hyderabad almost broke the record for the highest team total In IPL history. But Pant is ready for the challenge.
The Sunrisers Hyderabad play at their home once again, this time against the Lucknow Super Giants. SRH intends to make an impact, and they started strong against the Rajasthan Royals with a 44-run win. Lucknow, on the other hand, is dealing with a tough loss at the hands of the Delhi Capitals. The match was a last-ball thriller, with Delhi snatching the win out of LSG's hands. This will be extremely important for the Rishabh Pant-led side.
The LSG skipper revealed that he intends to "get them out early as possible and look to chase the target." He also expressed that it does not matter how much the Sunrisers Hyderabad scores, they would be taking them down by successfully chasing it.
"Doesn't matter how many they score, we're gonna chase it down," Rishabh Pant said at the toss.
The Lucknow Super Giants have made a couple of changes in the squad as Avesh Khan is included in the Xi, which means that Shahbaz Ahmed misses out. Lucknow also has Abdul Samad in the playing squad, while M. Siddharth goes out. For the Sunrisers Hyderabad, Pat Cummins has announced that their Playing XI remains unchanged.
The match will be extremely crucial for both sides as SRH intends to continue their momentum in the tournament. For Lucknow, it would be a make-or-break situation as they need to pick up a win in their IPL campaign. All eyes will be on the exciting encounter at Uppal.
