Virat Kohli Breaks Major Record, Becomes The Leading Run-Scorer Against Arch-Rivals Chennai Super Kings

Star India batter Virat Kohli has eclipsed Shikhar Dhawan to become the leading run-scorer against the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League.

Virat Kohli has sealed his name in the history books after reading a huge feat in the Indian Premier League. The former India skipper was seen in action against the Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Friday. Kohli did not make a significant impact on the game as he scored 31 runs off 30 balls. However, it was enough to etch his name in the history books after becoming the leading run-scorer against the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL

Virat Kohli Amasses Huge Record, Becomes The Leading Run-Scorer vs CSK

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru have been in incredible form in the IPL 2025 season. They are just one match down, but their batting has shown promise, with explosive openers Virat Kohli and Phil Salt giving the blazing start. RCB is coming off a win against the defending IPL champions, and they would be positive as they continue to face the Chennai Super Kings. Kohli, one of IPL's premier attractions, has etched his name in the history books after he became the top run-scorer against the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League.  

Virat Kohli has dethroned Former Team India batter Shikhar Dhawan to become the leading run-scorer against their arch-rivals, the Chennai Super Kings. The batter's 31-run knock allowed him to reach 1,084 runs to surpass Dhawan's record of 1,057 runs. Kohli took 33 innings to become the top-scorer, while Dhawan made it happen in 29 innings. Both of them are the only ones to score 1000+ runs against the five-time IPL champions.

RCB Score 196 With Patidar's Composed 50, Tim David's Cameo Aids Them Big-Time

Openers Phil Salt and Virat Kohli gave RCB an electrifying start, with the England batter scoring big shots in the power-play and scoring 32 off 16 balls. Kohli assisted with his 30-ball 31 before being dismissed by Noor Ahmad. Devdutt Padikkal came in to make an impact but was dismissed at 27. Skipper Rajat Patidar stood up to the task and elevated the team's score by contributing 51 runs.

While Livingstone and Jitesh Sharma did not go big, Tim David's cameo made the CSK fans sweat after he smacked three maximums and a four. David managed to lift the score and Bengaluru reached 196 at the loss of 7 wickets in the first innings against CSK.
