Sourav Ganguly Addressed Rumours Of His Acting Debut

Sourav Ganguly has teased his acting debut with a completely new avatar. The former India captain sparks rumours as photos of him in a police uniform are doing the rounds on social media and speculations have been pretty rife. Sourav is not new to the television as he has done several advertisements alongside hosting the popular Bengali show 'Dadagiri.'

Reports of Sourav's possible cameo in the web series have been mooted but the 52-year-old has denied any such rumours. He told the Indian Express, “I have shot an endorsement for Netflix to promote the (series). I am not in (it).”
Recently, during a promotion of the web series, Neeraj Pandey neither denied nor confirmed Sourav's acting debut in Khakee: The Bengal Chapter. On being asked about the possibility he replied, "keep looking."

Khakee: The Bihar Chapter was very well received by the audience and this Khakee: The Bengal Chapter will be hoping to cash on its popularity. The show is based in West Bengal and some of the very popular Bengali actors, with the likes of Jeet, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Parambrata Chattopadhyay and other actors are a pivotal part of it.

Sourav Ganguly Confirmed His Biopic

Sourav Ganguly also confirmed that his biopic is being made and esteemed actor Rajkumar Rao will be portraying his role. While speaking with the media the former KKR captain said, "From what I've heard, Rajkummar Rao will play the role (the titular role)...but there are issues of dates...so it will take more than a year to hit the screens."

Sourav is regarded as one of the finest Indian captains to lead the team across all formats. His aggressive leadership received severe plaudits and he also guided India to numerous wins on foreign soils.
