IPL 2025, KKR vs RCB: The spotlight would be on KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane when they lock horns with Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the curtain raiser at the Eden Gardens on Saturday. While the excitement is palpable ahead of the match, the weather could play spoilsport and that is not something anyone would be hoping for. But before the match, something hilarious happened in the KKR camp.

Like how Rohit Sharma has a tendency to forget, Rahane too forgot he had a bus to catch. Rahane eventually had to run to make it on time. The moment was captured on video and now the clip is doing the rounds on social space. Here is the viral video who authenticity we cannot confirm.

Meanwhile, eyes would be on the skies on Saturday in Kolkata as there is a high possibility of rain intervening the game. 

Kolkata's Weather Forecast On March 22

According to Google Weather, there will be moderate rain in the early hours on March 22 but the rest of the day will stay cloudy. In the evening around 6 Pm to 10 Pm when the IPL 2025 opener will be played, there's a 40 per cent chance of rain which is not good.

On the eve of the IPL 2025 opener, covers were seen at Eden Gardens Stadium due to rain. Royal Challengers Bengaluru also failed to hold practice sessions due to light showers in Kolkata. According to the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) Kolkata, thunderstorms with gusty wind, lightning, and light to moderate rainfall are likely to occur in the nearing districts of Kolkata, which might disrupt the weather in the 'City of Joy'.

Both sides have big names and given the size of the ground in Kolkata, it surely should be a six fest if the game gets underway.
