Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024: Team India is training hard at the Western Australian Cricket Association Ground Perth ahead of the 1st IND vs AUS Test match. The team under Gautam Gambhir , Morne Morkel and Abhishek Nayar has been playing intra-squad warm-up games in order to get ready for the series opener. This time around the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) will be played across five-Test matches and this adds a lot of spice to the series.
India also have their sights firmly set on the World Test Championship (WTC) Finals that will be played next year. After a 3-0 home series drubbing against the Kiwis, India's chances of playing the WTC finals looks bleak and they'll have to defeat Australia atleast by 4-0 in order to make a case for themselves and to qualify for the marquee finals. The Border-Gavaskar Trophy starts on November 22, 2024 at the Optus Stadium, Perth.
Mohammed Siraj Has A Gala Time In Training
The Indian cricket team will be without their regular skipper Rohit Sharma in the first Test match and will be led by Jasprit Bumrah . The Indian Team has been training hard to counter the Australian conditions and to adapt to them as quickly as possible. There have been a couple of injury concerns for Team India and Shubman Gill might possibly miss the first Test match.

India Eye Fifth Consecutive BGT Win
The Australians last won a Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2014 and since then, they've been waiting to get their hands on the coveted silverware. India on the other hand have been in a dominant force in the BGT and have won four consecutive series (2016, 2018, 2020 and 2023). The Indian team is eyeing yet another series win against the Aussies 'Down Under' which might end up being their fifth consecutive BGT series victory.
