Will Harshit Rana & Tilak Varma Get Their Chance in Final T20I vs BAN? Ryan ten Doeschate Reacts

While speaking at the pre-match press conference ahead of the third T20I match, India's assistant coach, Ryan ten Doeschate, stated that opportunities for new faces such as pacer Harshit Rana and Tilak Varma could be given in the last T20I between India and Bangladesh . However, even though the Men in Blue have Jitesh Sharma in their squad, Sanju Samson might keep working behind the wickets.

"Yeah, that was always the plan. Obviously, there's nice depth in the squad, and a lot of guys have got IPL experience. We try to expose as many guys as we can to international experience with what we've got coming up. So someone like Harshit Rana we're keen to give a game to. Obviously, Tilak came into the squad a bit later.

"Jitesh is there as well, but we want to give Sanju another chance. So there are options, and certainly the plan originally was to win the series, get the series won and then try a few new faces for the last game," Ryan ten Doeschate said.

Ten Doeschate further emphasized that the opportunities for the young Indian stars were not handed away. Instead, they earned the chance to headline on the side and have been carefully selected in the Playing XI.

"We don't give opportunities. The guys earn opportunities. Someone like Nitish, an emerging player of the IPL last year's impressed us with the work he's done, and that goes for everyone who comes into these squads. They're very carefully selected," The Assistant India coach added.

India's young stars, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Mayank Yadav were able to star for the Indian Cricket Team, and they made an instant mark with their performance. On the other hand, Rana and Varma haven't featured in the game, and it is yet to be seen whether they will receive the chance to compete in the 3rd T20I clash in Hyderabad.
