The Board of Control for Cricket in India [BCCI] has unveiled the Annual Central Contracts for Team India Women's team for 2024-25. A total of 16 players have a central contract, including skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, vice-captain Smriti Mandhana and all-rounder Deepti Sharma receiving Grade A contracts, which is the highest ranked category for central contracts.
This year, several women's cricketers receive their maiden central contracts, with off-spinner Shreyanka Patil, fast bowlers Arundhati Reddy and Titas Sadhu, stumper Uma Chetry and all-rounder Amanjot Kaur included in the Grade C. Yastika Bhatia, Amanjot Kaur, Uma Chetry, Sneh Rana, Pooja Vastrakar and Radha Yadav are the other ones in the list. In Grade B, Jeminah Rodrigues, Renuka Thakur, Shafali Verma, and Richa Ghosh have received Grade B Contracts this year.
Some names that did not receive contracts this year were Harleen Deol, Meghna Singh, Devika Vaidya, Anjali Sarvani, and Sabbineni Meghana. Bowler Rajeshwari Gaikwad, who received Grade B last year, also did not find a place this year.
Team India women's cricketers who have received central contracts this year have been categorized under three categories. Grade A cricketers would receive INR 50 lakhs over and above the match fees. INR 30 lakhs have been allotted for the Grade B stars while INR 10 lakhs have been dedicated to every player in the Grade C category.
