Ishan Kishan will have a point to prove in IPL 2025. The star wicket-keeper has lost his place in the Indian team and has also been excluded from BCCI's central contract list.

Ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction, Ishan wasn't retained by Mumbai Indians and he was snapped by the Sunrisers Hyderabad for a mind-boggling 11.25 crore. Trouble started to brew for Ishan when he opted out of the South African tour, and since then he hasn't been a part of Men In Blue.

Ishan Kishan Will Don SRH Colours In IPL 2025

Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra believes this IPL 2025 will be a big opportunity for Ishan Kishan to prove his mettle. On his YouTube channel he said, “The biggest opportunity is for Ishan Kishan. For whatever reason, he has just completely disappeared from the radar. It seems like no one is talking about him or understanding his importance. He even went and played the Ranji Trophy, and scored runs there, he is doing everything, but no one is even talking about him.”

Ishan Kishan Needs To Have A Smashing IPL

Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul and Sanju Samson are all ahead of Kishan in the pecking order and the 26-year-old needs to have a good IPL season which could further resurrect his international career.

"He has got an ODI double century. How many people have scored a double century in ODIs, and this guy has done that. This guy has the ability to hit sixes and to change gears and bat."

SRH lost to Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2024 final and will open their IPL 2025 campaign with a match against Rajasthan Royals. SRH have amassed a pretty formidable squad and the likes of Travis Head, Heinrich Klaasen and Abhishek Sharma will lead Sunrisers' charge in this upcoming season.
