BCCI To Conduct 13 IPL Opening Ceremonies

The IPL 2025 will kick off on March 22 when defending champions KKR will host Virat Kohli 's RCB at the Eden Gardens. Ajinkya Rahane replaced Shreyas Iyer as the KKR captain while Rajat Patidar will lead RCB in IPL 2025.

Logistical Issues Could Pose A Threat

The source further revealed since the ceremonies will be held at different venues all over the country, logistical issues remain a concern as several artists are expected to perform at 12 separate venues.

“The idea is to have a varied pool of Bollywood artists performing for all the programmes, and with limited time in between the innings, two to three artists could be accommodated for these events. Since this is happening at such a scale for the first time, there are some logistical issues as well. So, the BCCI and State associations are working in tandem to ensure that the programmes are conducted smoothly without hampering the matches.”

The popularity of the IPL has soared in the last few years, and the gala affair has attracted a huge number of people across all the stadiums. The 18th edition of the cash-rich league is likely to exceed all expectations, and it remains to be seen how BCCI executes these mammoth arrangements with perfection.
