IPL 2025: Can RCB finally break the title drought and clinch their maiden Indian Premier League title in 2025? Yes, this is the question in the minds of all RCB fans - and mind you, RCB fans are a huge army.
On the eve of RCB's season opener against Kolkata Knight Riders at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata, former Australian legend Adam Gilchrist made a massive prediction about RCB.
As per Gilchrist, RCB will end up last in the points table. Gilchrist reckoned that would be the case because they have too many Englishmen in their squad and that does not augur well for them.

‘Nothing against Virat’
"I think there's a fair chance it might be because I'm basing it on the fact that there's just too many Englishmen in the squad. So, RCB. On the back of having too many Englishmen in there," Gilchrist said on the Club Prairie Fire Podcast when asked to name the team that would finish last.
"Nothing against Virat, nothing against their fans. I apologise to the fans, but you've got to talk to your recruiting agents," he added.

Liam Livingstone, Jacob Bethell and Phil Salt are the popular Englishmen in the RCB set-up.
Salt is likely to open with Kohli. Rajat Patidar would be leading the side.
KKR vs RCB
Kolkata take on Bengaluru on March 22 in the season opener. While there is much excitement around the clash, the news is that there is a forecast of rain in the city and that is something no one wants. Given the core they possess for the conditions, KKR would start slight favourites in the game.
KKR would also be a confident unit after having clinched the coveted title last year. The Knight Riders beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final by eight wickets at the MA. Chidambaram stadium in Chennai.
