The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on March 20 announced a whopping amount of Rs. 58 crores as a cash reward for Rohit Sharma-led Team India following their stunning victory at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The Men in Blue displayed a stupendous performance in the recently concluded ICC tournament and got their hands on the silverware for a record third time. The BCCI's hefty amount once again proved how financially stable the country is unlike Pakistan.
The Men in Blue also received a cash reward of Rs 19.53 crore from the ICC for their victory at the Champions Trophy 2025.
In Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024, Islamabad United clinched the title after beating Multan Sultans by two wickets. Following the win, the United received a cash price of 14,00,00,000 Pakistani Rupees (INR 4.31 crore). Meanwhile, the runners-up Multan Sultans were handed an amount of PKR 5,60,00,000 (INR 1.72 crore). On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) clinched the IPL 2024 title after beating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by eight wickets. Following the win, BCCI handed a cash reward of Rs 20 crore to the Kolkata-based franchise. On the other hand, Sunrisers bagged Rs. 12.5 crore after securing the second spot.
Time and time again, BCCI has proved that it's the richest cricket board and always maintained a superiority among other cricket boards. In the recently concluded Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025, Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals by 8 runs to clinch the title. Following the win, MI bagged an amount of Rs 6 crore as a cash reward. While Delhi Capitals received Rs 3 crore.
The prize money for the winners of the top tournaments which comes under BCCI and PCB, proves how India has set an example in the cricketing world.
The most awaited Indian Premier League 2025 will also be starting on March 22, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders will lock horns in the opening fixture of the T20 tournament at the Eden Gardens.
