Ravindra Jadeja Follows Rohit Sharma's Footsteps, Addresses Retirement Rumours With Four Words Cryptic Post

Speculations were pretty rife on the future of Rohit Sharma , Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja's following India's Champions Trophy 2025 triumph. Rohit dismissed all the rumours in the post-match press conference while Virat is also very unlikely to take a call on his imminent retirement from the limited over format.

Ravindra Jadeja Addressed Retirement Speculations

Jadeja's ODI future was the subject of a debate but the 36-year-old has now quashed all the rumours. He took to Instagram and posted a story to reject all the rumour mills going around. "No unnecessary rumours, thanks," Jadeja posted on his Instagram stories.

The all-rounder delivered another stupendous performance with the ball leaking just 30 runs in his 10 overs quota while he also picked up the prized wicket of Tom Latham in the proceedings. He also came to the rescue with his bat and hit the winning run as the Men In Blue have now lifted their second ICC title within a span of eight months.

Jadeja heaped praises on KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya for taking the game out of New Zealand's grasp.

As quoted by ESPN Cricinfo he said, “That is how it is with me; sometimes a hero, sometimes a zero. The wicket was not easy for a new batter. Hardik and KL were great. Winning the CT is a huge thing. If you don't win a big tournament after playing so long, it hurts.”

India Defeated New Zealand To Lift 3rd Champions Trophy Title

India lifted their third ICC Champions Trophy title after defeating the BlackCaps by four wickets. Riding on Daryl Mitchell and Michael Bracewell's half centuries, the Kiwis posted a formidable 251 runs on the board. India looked to be on course as Rohit Sharma looked in his usual touch smashing the bowler all over the ground. But the Men In Blue lost some quick wickets and looked in trouble as the New Zealand bowlers tried to hurt back. But the quality of the Indian lineup proved too strong for New Zealand and Rohit Sharma and Co. ran away with the Champions Trophy 2025 title.
