In a lighthearted moment on Day 4 of the second Test in Kanpur, Rishabh Pant apologised to Virat Kohli with a warm hug after a comedy of errors nearly led to Kohli's run-out. The incident occurred when Kohli called Pant for a single, but the wicketkeeper-batter hesitated, leaving Kohli stranded mid-pitch.

Fortunately, Bangladesh pacer Khaled Ahmed missed a simple run-out opportunity, and Kohli returned to the crease, relieved. Rishabh Pant quickly made amends, embracing Virat Kohli and apologising for his mistake.

In the 19th over of India's innings, a dramatic sequence of events unfolded. Virat Kohli attempted to drive Khaled Ahmed's length delivery, but the ball chopped off a thick under-edge, landing mere inches from the pitch. Kohli instinctively called for a single, and Rishabh Pant responded, only to hesitate mid-pitch, leaving Kohli stranded.
