Rishabh Pant Joins The Elite List of An Unwanted Record After The 99-Run Dismissal Against NZ
Rishabh Pant has joined the ranks of elite cricketers, which includes MS Dhoni, Sourav Ganguly, Navjot Singh Sidhu, & many others, after being dismissed at 99.
Team India's fightback has been spectacular, thanks to Sarfaraz Khan and Rishabh Pant 's partnership against New Zealand. In India's second innings, Pant and Sarfaraz helped Team India regain the lead after the team's historic low score in the first Innings. Team India has been struggling against the Kiwis, but the batters have put up a fightback. However, during the play, Rishabh Pant missed out on his tun after he was dismissed at 99 runs. One more run could have sealed his hundred in Chinnaswamy, but the 99-run dismissal has put him on the list of an unwanted record.

Rishabh Pant Now Features In The List Among Elites Who Have An Unwanted Record In Test Cricket
After being dismissed at 99 runs, Team India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has joined the list of elite cricketers which features MS Dhoni , Sourav Ganguly , Navjot Singh Sidhu, and many more. Rishabh was on a fine track to get his seventh hundred in Test Cricket. But the Stumper was left expression-less after O'Rourke's delivery hit the edge and went straight to the stumps. Pant had a long walk, and the crowd was left in shock after he fell at 99.
The 27-year-old wicketkeeper-batter has joined MS Dhoni and Sourav Ganguly among others on a list of Indian batters who have lost their wickets at 99 runs in Test Cricket. While MSD was dismissed at 99 after Sir Alastair Cook ran him out in 2012, Ganguly had two instances in the game. In 1997, he was dismissed by Sri Lanka in Nagpur, while the second time was in 2002 against England in Nottingham. Motganhalli Laxminarsu Jaisimha, Pankaj Roy, Virender Sehwag, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Rusi Framroze Surti, Murali Vijay, and Ajit Wadekar are the other Indian batters who have fell in 99 runs.

Surprisingly, since making his Test Cricket debut against England in 2018, Rishabh Pant tops the list of active players who have been dismissed in the nineties. Tom Blundell, Devon Conway, Travis Head, Usman Khawaja, and Marnus Labuschagne have been dismissed in the 90s three times. In the 1990s, he was dismissed in the 90s zone seven times.
