Rohit Sharma-Gautam Gambhir Choice India Playing XI at Chennai vs Bangladesh Shows Focus is on BGT
Ind vs Ban: Bangladesh has won the toss and opted to bowl first in Chennai.
Ind vs Ban: On an overcast morning in Chennai, Bangladesh has won the toss and opted to bowl first in Chepauk on Thursday during the opening Test. While the Bangladeshi captain Najmul Shanto claimed that he feels there is juice on the track and that his bowlers would get purchase and that prompted his decision, the surprising bit is India playing three pacers at the iconic Chepauk. The strip in Chepauk is traditionally spin-friendly and hence the decision of the Indian captain at the toss looks a little surprising. But again, if you come to think of it, it makes a lot of sense with the Border-Gavaskar Trophy coming up at the end of the year. In Australia, India play a five-match Test series which will be part of the World Test Championship cycle.

Also, one has to under stand that this Test match marks the start of the new home season and hence India want to set the template rightaway.
The three seamers India have fielded are Jasprit Bumrah , Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep. The two spinners are Ravindra Jadeja and Ravi Ashwin.
"We came here a week back, we had a good prep leading up to this one. We feel confident. Three seamers and two spinners - Bumrah, Akash Deep, Siraj, Ashwin and Jadeja," Rohit said at the toss.
