Team India's ODI and Test skipper Rohit Sharma is taking some much-needed time off from the game and is spending some quality time with his wife and kids. The India skipper is off to the Maldives before he gets back to action with the Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2o25 season. Rohit is also coming off a magnificent title win in Dubai after Team India defeated New Zealand to win the ICC Champions Trophy title.
Rohit Sharma, Team India's captain, is taking a well-deserved break after a hectic schedule that included bilaterals with England and the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The Indian captain finished the marquee ICC tournament in style, winning consecutive ICC titles after winning the coveted title and securing bragging rights in one-day international cricket. Now, the Indian Test and ODI captain have some time to spend with his family. Rohit has now left for a quick vacation to the Maldives with his family and children.
Rohit Sharma took to the social media platform Instagram and shared a photograph of himself with his daughter Samaira. All of them looked in proper vacation attire as they were seen travelling to the Maldives for a quick break before the Indian skippers returned to action.
Rohit Sharma shared another image where his wife and kids could be seen relaxing on the beachside.
Rohit Sharma, who played in the England ODI bilaterals and the ICC Champions Trophy, will be in action for the Mumbai Indians in the upcoming IPL 2025 season. Rohit will be under the leadership of Hardik Pandya, who was named captain in the preceding IPL season. MI will look to improve its position and performance from last year, as it finished at the bottom of the IPL 2024 standings.
Interestingly, Rohit Sharma has the opportunity to lead the Mumbai Indians when they begin their IPL 2025 campaign against the Chennai Super Kings. Given Hardik Pandya's suspension for the IPL 2024, Rohit and Suryakumar Yadav are among the frontrunners to lead the team. Rohit has a strong chance because he has previously served as the leader. However, it also depends on Rohit's willingness to do so. It remains to be seen what will happen during the IPL's El Clasico.
