India vs Bangladesh : Without a doubt, spotlight would be on Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli when India host Bangladesh in the opening Test at Chennai on Thursday. Rohit and Kohli are arguably the best batters of the generation and hence expectations would be high when they take on the neighbors. The concern is that in recent times the Indian batters, who were traditionally good against spin, have not been at their best. And with quality spinners in their ranks, Bangladesh can exploit this. What may also suit the visitors is that the Chennai strip traditionally assists the spinners.

Rohit vs Bangladesh in Tests: The India captain, also known as ‘Hitman’ would be expected to get among the runs and feel good about himself as there is a big season of Test cricket coming up. His form would be key to India's fortunes. While Rohit has played Bangladesh on a number of occasions in his illustrious career, he has only featured in three Tests against them. And in the three games, all Rohit has managed is 33 runs at an average of 11. He would be desperate to improve upon that.

Kohli vs Bangladesh in Tests: The former India captain, who is regarded as the best batter of the era, would be returning to the red-ball format - a format he has always admitted is closest to him. While Rohit does not have a good record against Bangladesh , Kohli has a staggering record against them. In six Test matches, he has amassed 437 runs at an average of 54.62. Bangladesh would surely love to see the back of him early.
