Champions Trophy 2025, IND vs NZ: Team India's clinical display with the ball and the inclusion of Varun Chakaravarthy pays off as they have secured a win over New Zealand by 44 runs. The Indian spinners mounted a lot of pressure to the over Kiwi batters, with Daryl Mitchell and Mitchell Santner trying to turn the tables but couldn't do so. Kane Williamson played a key role with the bat, but Rohit Sharma's men had already done the damage.
Champions Trophy: Team India Clinch A 44 Run Win Over New Zealand
New Zealand looked like they would come in guns blazing and take up some early runs to gain the advantage. India began their wicket-taking spree with the dismissal of Rachin Ravindra, and Will Young's wickets feel soon after. Axar Patel took the crucial wicket of Kane Williamson , courtesy of wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul precise stumping. The Blackcaps has started to gain some momentum due to Williamson, but the Men in Blue did not let him score big.
New Zealand's middle-order failed to score runs as they were dominated by the Indian bowling attack. Varun Chakaravarthy's clinical spell allowed India to stay afloat in the competition. Skipper Mitchell Santner tried to go big after he struck two huge sixes made a notable contribution before he was dismissed by Chakaravarthy.

New Zealand Rattled India's Top-Order
New Zealand put on a clinical display with the ball, and their outstanding fielding helped them limit Rohit Sharma -led Team India to 249/9. Team India was under pressure after their top three batters -- Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli -- collapsed and failed to get things started in a promising manner. When it came to fielding, the Blackcaps stood up and delivered, with Glen Phillips' aerial effort to take out Virat Kohli leaving the entire stadium in silence. Even Virat looked stunned after witnessing the catch, which gave New Zealand a significant advantage in the game. Team India's middle order delivered a clinical performance against a dominant New Zealand line-up.
Shreyas Iyer's clinical 79 and Axar Patel's 42 give them some momentum in the game. KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya went on to score some runs, and the all-rounder showed grit by firing the ball over the boundary. Hardik Pandya fell short of a well-deserved fifty when he misjudged the ball and was caught by Rachin Ravindra. New Zealand managed to keep India at 249/9.

Team India will now face Australia in the semifinal of the Champions Trophy 2025 on Tuesday, March 04th at the Dubai International Stadium.
