Indian Cricket veteran Sunil Gavaskar has one wish from star-batter Virat Kohli

After the Strike-rate drama that engulfed the entire IPL 2024 season, the attention will shift towards the Indian National Cricket Team as the cricketers represent the Men in Blue. Team India will play some critical ICC tournaments and bilaterals, which will lead to the Border-Gavaskar trophy towards the end of the year. Ahead of the critical tournament, Gavaskar has revealed that he expects Virat Kohli to do something very few cricketers have been able to achieve, which is scoring a ton in all of Australia's venues. Given that he has smashed a century in almost all of the venues, except the Gabba, where Team India made history the last time.

"On an individual level, [my wish] maybe for Virat Kohli is that he becomes the third overseas player who's scored a Test century in all the Australian venues. I think he doesn't have one at the Gabba, so if he gets a century at The Gabba, that means he joins me and Alastair Cook," Gavaskar said while making an appearance at the launch of the Australia-India Summer of Cricket event.

Sunil Gavaskar made history after he became the first-ever overseas batter to score a ton in all of the five cricket venues in Australia -- Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Perth. Alastair Cook is the second-only man on the elusive list. Interestingly, Kohli isn't too far behind as he needs just one ton in Brisbane at The Gabba. With the Border-Gavaskar Trophy closing in, Kohli will have the ultimate chance to fulfil his wish.
