The much anticipated final of the 2023 Cricket World Cup is almost knocking on the door. The grand specatcle will see two of the finest teams of the tournament India and Australia competing with each other at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday. BCC will leave no stones unturned to make the event a successful one.

BCCI is planning a grand ceremony for World Cup final

As per reports, the Indian cricket board is set to felicitate all the Cricket World Cup winning captains with a special blazer on the occasion. Since the inception of the World Cup in 1975 to the last edition in 2019, all the captains will be honoured after the conclusion of the first innings. Alongside this ceremony, the Suryakiran Indian Air Force show will also take place just after the toss. Over one lakh people are estimated to throng to the stadium to witness the historic clash on November 19.

The likes of MS Dhoni, Kapil Dev, Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara and England's Eoin Morgan are likely to be present during the grand finale. India eased their way to the final with a 70 run victory over the New Zealand while Aussies struggled against South Africa and survived a close call as they went on to clinch a 3 wicket victory.

Men in Blue are on the verge of creating a history and having won 10 matches on a trot the home side seems to have an upper hand in the match. But when it comes to the World Cup, Australia always proves to be a different breed and Rohit Sharma and Co will be aware of the fact.
