After dominating the 2023 ODI World Cup for 43 days, the Indian cricket team once again lost an ICC knockout match increasing the tally to nine in the last ten years. Rohit Sharma and Co. lost to Australia in ODI World Cup 2023 final by six wickets handing over the Aussies their sixth CWC title.

Shahid Afridi bashed by Indian fans over criticising India's CWC 2023 final loss

While speaking to Pakistan's news channel Samaa TV, former Pakistani skipper Shahid Afridi criticised India and said that he believes the Rohit Sharma-led side can only lose the tournament due to their overconfidence. While India lost the ODI World Cup final, Afridi's statement went viral on social media and now he is facing the backlash from the Indian fans.
