Ahead of ICC T20 World Cup's must-see match between India and Pakistan in the United States, NY governor has assured the increase of security at Eisenhower Park

The Indian Cricket Team have arrived in the United States and has been going through some training as they head onto the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. A lot of the eyes will be locked in on the clash of the titans, India and Pakistan. The high-stakes clash will be played in New Jersey on June 09, 2024, and expect it to be an intense battle not just on the field, but the fans. Since both country's diaspora have been living in the US, they will be heading in masses to watch the clash, which only happens in major ICC tournaments. To ensure safety measures, NY will implement some increased security measures to tackle the incident.

Surveillance to be enhanced in New York ahead of India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup showdown

Following reports of danger to the India vs Pakistan fixture on June 9 in the T20 World Cup 2024, security will be reinforced at New York's Nassau County International Cricket Stadium at Eisenhower Park. As per an announcement made by Governor Kathy Hochul's office, they have been tracking the situation closely and have determined that there is no real public safety danger at this time.

"I have also directed the New York State Police to engage in elevated security measures, including an increased law enforcement presence, advanced surveillance, and thorough screening processes. Public safety is my top priority, and we are committed to ensuring the Cricket World Cup is a safe, enjoyable experience," Governor Hochul said.

As per ESPNCricinfo, an ICC spokesperson has said that the security and surveillance will be stringent across all the venues in the tournament, be it in the United States or the West Indies.

"The safety and security of everyone at the event is our number one priority and we have a comprehensive and robust security plan in place. We work closely with authorities in our host countries and continually monitor and evaluate the global landscape to ensure appropriate plans are in place to mitigate any risks identified to our event," said the spokesperson.
