Former Liverpool forward could be set for a sensational reunion

Firmino had the perfect start to his new life as he scored a hattrick on his Al-Ahli debut. But things took a drastic turn and the player hasn't found the net since then. From a regular starter, he is now confined to the reserve bench and the player is reportedly not content with the situation. He doesn't have a death of offers as Saudia Arabian side Al-Fateh are reportedly pretty keen to acquire his service while Steven Gerrard's Al-Ettifaq remain an interested party in the player. The former Liverpool midfielder already acquired the service of Jordan Henderson and the 32-year-old forward could be reunited with his former colleague.

Gerrard had hinted at his fondness for Firmino earlier. "I obviously know Bobby extremely well, I've been a massive fan. I've followed him for years. At the moment, he's Al-Ahli's player, so it's very difficult for me to comment on that situation. But I've loved Bobby Firmino since the first day I watched him and I'm a huge fan."

Firmino who was handed the armband had six appearances off the bench and has spent nine games without scoring a goal. A potential reunion with his former club Liverpool cannot be ruled out as the player is reportedly interested in returning to Europe. Apart from Mohamed Salah, the Reds attackers haven't shown much finesse in front of the goal and the Brazilian international would add much experience to the team.
