'Team Has Been Playing Well': Endrick Scores As Real Madrid Beat Real Sociedad 1-0 In First Leg Of Copa Del Rey Semis

Following a thriller in the first leg semi-final between Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, Real Madrid have now taken advantage in their semi-final match against Real Sociedad. Real Madrid scored just one goal thanks to young star Endrick and now have a foot in the finals with the second leg remaining to be played. Both second leg matches are to be played in April with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid heading into their second leg match on an aggregate score of 4-4. Real Madrid on the hand go into it with a 1-0 advantage over Real Sociedad. 

Endrick Scores Lone Goal In Real Madrid Win

Endrick who was Kylian Mbappe's replacement for the match found the back of the net and that was the only goal that was scored throughout that match. Kylian Mbappe had missed the match against Real Sociedad due to tooth pain after he had his tooth removed. Kylian Mbappe had also missed practice. 

Endrick's goal came early in the match, in the nineteenth minute, when Jude Bellingham's long pass found him and he scored off a breakaway.

Carlo Ancelotti Praises Endrick Following Win Over Real Sociedad

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti was pleased with Endrick's performance in the match against Real Sociedad and called his goal fantastic while praising the 18 year old Brazilian.

“Endrick has helped us a lot. His goal was fantastic. He worked well up front and on defense as well. The team has been playing well,” said Carlo Ancelotti.

Several of Real Madrid's regular starters were rested as they look to win their first Copa del Rey title since 2023. Real Sociedad on the other hand, last won the Copa del Rey back in 2020 for the third time. During this campaign of their, they had eliminated Real Madrid 4-3 in the quarterfinals match.

The final for the Copa del Rey is set to take place on April 26 in Seville.
