Saudi Pro League: Cristiano Ronaldo-led Al-Nassr FC sealed a thumping 2-0 victory over Al-Wedha FC in the Saudi Pro League match that was played at the King Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium on February 25, 2025. Al-Nassr's triumph in Mecca has kept them alive in the title race. It was Ronaldo's fiery header and Sadio Mane's late penalty which helped the Riyadh-based club register a stellar victory against the hosts after a disappointing defeat against Al-Ettifaq on February 21, 2025

The match between Al-Nassr and Al-Wehda was supposed to start at 9:30 PM IST, however, the game got delayed by more than an hour, which caused a lot of distress for the fans of the CR7-led club. According to Goal.com, Al-Nassr's team bus reached the stadium nine-minute past the kick off time. The report further states that the team bus was struck in heavy traffic and the fans had to wait for more than an hour to catch a glimpse of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.

Cristiano Ronaldo Apologizes To Al-Nassr Fans
While speaking to SSC Sports after the game Al-Nassr vs Al-Wehda game, a disappointed Ronaldo apologised for the delay and said that this should not happen again. 'I want to apologise on behalf of Al-Nassr for starting the game late. This should not happen again. Sorry', the former Real Madrid and Manchester United stalwart said as quoted by Goal.com.
CR7 added that his side faced few difficulties in the first half as they had to travel for around three hours on the bus. He explained that all the roads were closed which eventually led to the delay.

"The first half was difficult because we did a journey of three hours on the bus because of traffic and the roads were closed," he added.
Al-Nassr FC Eye Crucial Win Against Al-Orobah FC
Following their win over Al-Wedha, Al-Nassr are now stationed on the third spot in the ongoing Saudi Pro League. The Cristiano Ronaldo-led side has accumulated 47 points so far. CR7's side has played 22 matches so far this season and has won 14 games. In their upcoming match, Al-Nassr will lock horns with Al-Orobah FC at the Al-Jouf University Stadium on March 1, 2025.
