'Hallucinating': Kylian Mbappe Has Already Started Breaking Records At Real Madrid

The Kylian Mbappe era is set to kickstart at Real Madrid with his presentation at the Santiago Bernabeu slated for July 16th. Real Madrid's latest Galactico signing has a lot of expectations as Kylian Mbappe was involved in one of the longest transfer sagas in football history. 

However, Kylian Mbappe hasn't even touched down at Real Madrid and has already started breaking records as the Mbappe fever has token over the city of Madrid and the Santiago Bernabeu. 

Kylian Mbappe Follows In Cristiano Ronaldo's Footsteps

There is no secret that Kylian Mbappe has always considered Cristiano Ronaldo his biggest idol when it comes to football. According to Kylian Mbappe's admission, one of the biggest reasons behind him becoming a Real Madrid fan was Cristiano Ronaldo.

Just like when Cristiano Ronaldo joined Real Madrid from Manchester United in 2009 he wore the number 9 shirt in his first season, Kylian Mbappe will also be wearing the number 9 shirt at Real Madrid in his first season. 

Mbappe's preferred number 7 and number 10 jerseys are occupied by Vinicius Jr and Luka Modric, hence Mbappe will be donning the number 9 jersey. 

Kylian Mbappe Record Shattering Beginning at Real Madrid

Real Madrid on Wednesday announced that the Kylian Mbappe shirt sales will go live at Real Madrid stores and website from July 11th, 2024. According to reports that have come out from Marca and AS, the sales of Kylian Mbappe's jersey has exceeded all expectations.

According to AS, Real Madrid sources say that the shirt sales for the French National Team captain has been "hallucinating" while Real Madrid's kit sponsor Adidas is preparing for a "a very busy summer due to the unexpectedly high demands of Kylian Mbappe shirt. 

Marca reported that Kylian Mbappe's shirt sales at Real Madrid are breaking all records that have been registered for jersey sales of any player at Club stores.
