Cristiano Ronaldo Pays Emotional Tribute To His Father On His Birth Anniversary As Al Nassr Win

Cristiano Ronaldo has been scoring goals left and right ever since he started playing football. There were doubts about whether Ronaldo can carry on his craft when he left for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia. Ronaldo has silenced those talks as he continues his scoring masterclass in Saudi Arabia. Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr faced off against Al Rayyan yesterday as they picked up the win. 

Al Nassr won the match 2-1 after goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane. The goal from Cristiano Ronaldo was special, as it was an emotional tribute to his father who had passed away in 2005. 

Ronaldo's Emotional Tribute To His Father 

Cristiano Ronaldo's father José Aveiro passed away in 2005 and never got to see his son become one of the greatest players to ever step onto a football pitch. 

"To be the number one and he don't see nothing, and he don't see to receive awards, to see what I became,” Ronaldo had once said when talking about his father.

Last night during the match against Al Rayyan, Cristiano Ronaldo after he scored the second goal for Al Nassr, pointed both of his hands to the sky as he paid tribute to his dad on his birth anniversary.

“Today's goal has a different flavor… I wish my father was alive because today is his birthday," said Ronaldo about his goal according to Fabrizio Romano. 

Cristiano Ronaldo's father José Aveiro would have been 71 years old today. 

Al Nassr And Ronaldo's Season So Far 

Al Nassr have played 5 games in the new Saudi Pro League season and are currently placed 4th in the table. As for Cristiano Ronaldo, he is the top scorer in his team having already scored 5 goals for his club in the new season of the Saudi Pro League and the AFC Champions League.
