'It’s A Bit Of A One-Off': Lewis Hamilton Looks To Reset With Ferrari In China Following Disappointing Australian Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton finished fourth in the first practice in China and ahead of the sprint qualifying.

Lewis Hamilton's life at Ferrari did not start the way the seven time World Champion wanted it to as he could only qualify eighth and the race went even worse for him as he managed to get a single point after he finished 10th in the standings. Lewis Hamilton during the race in Australia, was clearly irritated with the constant messages from the pit wall. As Hamilton had a disappointing end to his first race for Ferrari, he hopes to rebuild and go again at the Shanghai Grand Prix in China which will be the second race of the season. 

Lewis Hamilton Looking To Improve Ahead Of Shanghai GP

7-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton is looking to improve as he heads into his second weekend with Ferrari. After a 10th place finish in the opening race, Hamilton is still in the process of understanding the Ferrari car and setup.

“As I get more comfortable and more knowledgeable about the car, I can start making more decisions. I’m having those discussions, and I’m going to lean a little bit more with adding my experience hopefully a bit more in it,” said Lewis Hamilton as he looks to improve ahead of the Shanghai Grand Prix in China. 

Lewis Hamilton Believes Australian GP Was A One-Off 

Lewis Hamilton believes that the Australian Grand Prix and it's disappointing end for Ferrari was a one off ahead of the Shanghai Grand Prix weekend.

“I think our car looked pretty decent on Friday (in Australia) and even on Saturday morning. So, I think it’s a bit of a one-off,” said Lewis Hamilton about his expectations from China. 

In the first practice of the Shanghai Grand Prix, improvement was seen by Ferrari and Lewis Hamilton as the former Mercedes driver went fourth fastest and his teammate Charles Leclerc was the second fastest behind McLaren's Lando Norris.
