Kolkata Knight Riders didn't have the desired start, as they lost to Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL 2025 opener at the Eden Gardens on March 22. However, they have managed to bring their IPL campaign back on track with an 8-wicket win over the Rajasthan Royals on Wednesday, March 26.
A security breach halted the game briefly as a fan invaded the ground and fell on the feet of Virat Kohli . He was immediately escorted by the security persons, and now another video of an attempt to invade the security cordon has emerged. The video showed a KKR supporter tried to climb the fence in a bid to get close to owner Shahrukh Khan.
But police personnel got a hold of him, and he was then brutally thrashed in front of the crowd. Fans breaching the security have been a common phenomenon around the world, and IPL appears to be no exception. In the match between Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders, a fan managed to invade the security at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati and came in touch with RR skipper Riyan Parag.
KKr will now host Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 3 at the Eden Gardens.
