Premier League 2025-26: The 10-month long extravaganza began on August 15 and since then there has been some fascinating action in English football as 19 teams started out vying to become the best football club in England. This is also a big season for teams like Sunderland, Burnley, and Leeds United - they would be in the spotlight - as they have been promoted to the top flight, replacing Southampton, Leicester City, and Ipswich Town.
Reds Off to a Flyer
As expected, Liverpool, after a splendid show in the season gone by - have continued their good run in the ongoing season as well. They are currently topping the points table after matchweek 6. The Reds have hardly put a foot wrong this season winning five out of their six matches thus far. Liverpool only loss of the season came in their last game against Crystal Palace.
They lost the game 2-1 in what was a thrilling encounter where a late goal by Eddie Nketiah broke the Liverpool hearts with a 97th-minute strike. Despite the loss, Liverpool have emerged as the team to beat and they would like to get back to winning ways when they take on Chelsea on October 4.

Gunners Firing
Having won four out of their six games thus far, Arsenal occupy the second spot. They are looking like a good unit this season. Gabriel has been doing well as he starred in Arsenal's win over Newcastle in their last game. Arsenal have traditionally been reliant on set-pieces and this season is nothing different. Arsenal take on West Ham in their next PL game on October 4.

Injuries Worry Man City
Rodri's injury is troubling Pep Guardiola and that is evident as they have won three out of the six games they have played thus far. They are in the seventh position now and would be hoping they can get into the top five soon. City would look to win against Brentford on October 5.
Chelsea Struggling
Chelsea are in the top 10, but have struggled in the initial phase of the Premier League, having won merely two out of the six matches they have played. Enzo Maresca would surely be having sleepless nights. Chelsea play a stiff game against Liverpool in their next match.
