At its global Mi Note 10 debut event in Madrid, Spain, Xiaomi has launched a slightly tweaked version of the Redmi Note 8. This version of the Redmi Note 8, called the Redmi Note 8T, will be available in the European market at a starting price of Euros 199 which roughly translates to Rs 15,700. The Redmi Note 8T is basically the Redmi Note 8 with NFC support.

Plus, Xiaomi is using different naming to call the phone’s three colourways. While the Redmi Note 8 that is sold in India comes in Neptune Blue, Moonlight White, Cosmic Purple and Space Black, the Redmi Note 8T has been launched in Europe in three colours - Starscape Blue, Moonlight White and Moonshadow Grey.

Another change comes in the form of configurations. The Redmi Note 8T launched in Europe comes in 4GB RAM/64GB storage and 4GB RAM/128GB storage options. The Redmi Note 8 sold in India comes in 6GB RAM/64GB storage and 6GB RAM/128GB storage variants.

Redmi Note 8T specs

Rest of the deal stays put. Which means that the Redmi Note 8T is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor, it packs a 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging through USB Type-C (fast charger in the box), a 48MP main plus 8MP ultra-wide plus 2MP depth plus 2MP macro quad rear camera setup, a 13MP front camera, and it has a 6.3-inch 1080p+ display with Xiaomi’s dot notch and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front as well as on the back.

The Redmi Note 8T has a conventional fingerprint scanner on the back like the Redmi Note 8 and not an in-display solution like the Mi Note 10. Much like the Redmi Note 8, the Redmi Note 8T also has a splash-resistant design with reinforced corners to survive accidental drops.

The Redmi Note 8T isn’t the only phone that Xiaomi is launching in Europe today. The company is also launching the Mi Note 10 which is the global variant of the China-exclusive Mi CC9 Pro. Its key highlight being its 108MP penta rear cameras.
