Microsoft Windows 7: More Services Of Current-Gen OS Continue To Be Phased Out 

Windows 7 users get set to live with complete nostalgia soon!

Microsoft Windows 7, the older Windows XP, users will lose access to popular services which are games such as the legacy Internet Backgammon, Internet Checkers, Internet Hearts, Internet Reversi, Internet Spades have now gone away. If you are a Windows 7 user, then Internet Backgammon, Internet Checkers, and Internet Spades would not be supported.  

Now, this latest exercise seems to be in line of Microsoft phasing out Windows 7 altogether – the popular operating system (OS) would reach end of support stage from January 2020. Also, these games which are part of the Microsoft Internet Games Services; this entire package would come to an end on 22 January 2020.  

At this point in time, it is worth remembering that Windows 7 is still in use by a significant chunk of personal computers (PC) users across the world. With the above games all set to be phased out very soon, nostalgia would be the only element left after the exercise is complete (in January 2020).  

Also, Microsoft wants users of current-gen/older OSes to port to Windows 10 that is continually receiving newer updates and support from Microsoft. The Redmond-based company during the recent Computex event, teased that the next-gen of its OS would be “connected always” and “secure by default” - throwing ears to winds that have hinted at a next-gen iteration of an operating system.
