The Xiaomi Mi A2 has received yet another price cut in India - the base variant of the Xiaomi Mi A2 with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is now available for buying for as low as Rs 11,999. The price of the top-end Xiaomi Mi A2 with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant remains unchanged at Rs 15,999.

The discounted prices are now effective on Mi.com/in and Amazon India and will also apply to Mi Home stores and Xiaomi’s offline sales partners.

This is notably the second price cut on the Xiaomi Mi A2 in three months - Xiaomi has slashed the prices of the Xiaomi Mi A2 by up to Rs 3,000 in January. The Xiaomi Mi A2 was launched in India at Rs 16,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, going all the way to Rs 19,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant.

The Xiaomi Mi A2 now starts at Rs 11,999 - which is its lowest price ever. The top-end variant of the Xiaomi Mi A2 is meanwhile available for Rs 15,999.

Xiaomi’s Mi A-line-up of Android One phones have been very popular in India - they offer a welcome change for buyers looking to buy a Xiaomi phone/hardware but are not particularly fond of the company’s MIUI software. The Mi A2, to that effect, runs a stock version of Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box and is already upgradable to Android 9 Pie.

In terms of core hardware, the Xiaomi Mi A2 comes with a 6-inch 1080p+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. The dual-SIM phone supports 4G LTE connectivity and packs a 3,000mAh battery with support for Qualcomm's Quick Charge 4.0 technology.

The other main highlight – in addition to stock Android software – of Xiaomi’s Mi A2 is its camera(s). The Xiaomi Mi A2 comes with a dual camera system on the rear consisting of one 12-megapixel sensor (the same sensor which is also inside the recently launched Redmi Note 7) and another 20-megapixel sensor. The Mi A2 dual cameras can intelligently switch between the 12MP primary and the 20MP secondary sensor depending on the available light, according to Xiaomi. On the front, the Xiaomi Mi A2 comes with a 20-megapixel camera.

The Mi A2 is a compelling Android One phone at its new price and even though it is missing out on a 3.5mm audio jack and micro-SD storage expansion, it is still a remarkable value for money for buyers looking for clean Android software inside some noteworthy Xiaomi hardware.
