Bihar Students Faint Due to Dehydration, Parents Slam School For Being Operational Amid Heat Wave
Prevailing heatwave conditions have thrown life out of gear in parts of India. In a tragic incident on May 29, students in a Bihar school reportedly fainted due to dehydration. 6-7 students reportedly fainted at a school in Sheikhpura, Bihar. Conditions of the children deteriorated to the extent that they had to be admitted to a hospital. Once hospitalised, the condition of the children stabilised. Agitated, the parents of children demanded an alteration in the school's time table. Bihar experienced scorching temperatures with mercury levels surpassing 44°C at several locations on May 28. Aurangabad recorded the highest temperature in the state at 47.7 degrees Celsius.
