Manipur Violence: Internet Services Partially Restored, Curfew Relaxed for 10 Hours In Imphal East

The Manipur Government Saturday relaxed the curfew and partially lifted the ban on internet services in Valley districts. Issuing an order, the state home department said the curfew would be relaxed from 5 am to 4 pm. “Due to the developing law and order situation in the districts, there is a need to relax the restriction of movement to facilitate (the) general public to purchase the essential items, including medicines and food items. “This relaxation shall not include any gathering/sit-in-protest/rally, etc., without obtaining approval from (the) competent authority,” the order reads.
