India SWOT Analysis For ICC Cricket World Cup 2023

Ajit Agarkar led BCCI panel announced India's ODI world Cup 2023 squad. While senior players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Shami all found a place in the squad, some shocking omissions made fans unhappy. India's ICC performer Shikhar Dhawan was omitted and seasoned spinners Yuzvendra Chahal, R Ashwin too missed out on a spot. Some sections of fans were unhappy over the omission of Sanju Samson and even questioned the inclusion of Suryakumar Yadav. India's top 3 includes Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli. India opted for 3 all-rounders in Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel. KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer too are making a comeback after being out due to injuries. Absence of Rishabh Pant means India will be choosing between Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul as their wicketkeeper. The pace department will be lead by Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Sir and Shardul Thakur whereas spin department consists of Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja. The option of Suryakumar Yadav in the middle might work as an X-factor for the Indian team. Given the world cup is at home, the squad looks balanced but what do you make of this squad for ODI World Cup?
