On Monday, police in Marrakech apprehended three French tourists, aged 29 and 30, on suspicion of possessing and circulating counterfeit banknotes.

As per a security source, the individuals in question employed multiple forged foreign currency banknotes to settle service bills at a hotel in Marrakech. The source further mentioned that subsequent searches and investigations resulted in the identification and apprehension of the suspects, who were found in possession of an additional item.
During the search operations, the police uncovered 25 counterfeit Euro bills, as reported.
The accused individuals underwent a judicial inquiry under the oversight of the public prosecutor's office to elucidate the particulars of the case and ascertain any potential connections with counterfeiting networks.
