The commitment to exclusively operate under the command of international bodies like the United Nations, NATO, or the European Union, and the decision not to align with the United States, was explicitly stated by the three nations.

In a statement, the French Defense Ministry announced its support for securing freedom of navigation in the Red Sea and surrounding areas, confirming its existing operations in the region. However, it clarified that its ships remained under French command and did not specify if additional naval forces would be deployed, reported Mehr News agency.
