As the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war continues to intensify, the authorities in Ukraine said the war-stricken nation's two cities are under Russian missile attack. On Friday morning, the mayors of the Ukrainian cities of Kharkiv and Lviv confirmed that they are currently dealing with the wrath of Russia, DW reported. The attack came days after Russia claimed to have captured an Eastern Ukrainian town called Marinka. While Kharkiv is struggling to navigate through the Russian missile attacks, the Mayor of Lviv said they saw drones flying over the Ukrainian city.
“At least six explosions were heard in the city,” Kharkiv mayor Igor Terekhov wrote on Telegram. He insisted that the city witnessed a “massive missile attack”. Meanwhile, the mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, said there was "information about 2 strikes in Lviv and noted that drones were detected flying over the region. After the preliminary information, regional Governor Maksym Kozytskyi noted that Air Defences which were active in the region came under attack from the drones.
