In a misguided effort to kill cockroaches, a man in Brasil blew up his yard. As per reports, Cesar Schmitz said that his wife had complained of cockroaches invading the garden and asked him to get rid of them for once and for all.

Abiding by what his wife said, Schmitz first poured gasoline into the hole and then tossed lighted matches in it. Within minutes, the lawn exploded. The footage captured in a CCTV camera shows a table flying in the air following the explosion, while his dogs sprinted away, frightened. To make matters worse, it appears that the unlucky man did not even manage to kill all the bugs, as one can be spotted making an escape in the video. Watch the video here.
