Michael Foster, a 47-year-old ex-overnight mechanic at Walt Disney World, faces 32 counts of child pornography, casting a disturbing shadow over the renowned entertainment destination. The arrest came after an inquiry conducted by the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, initiated by a tip-off regarding potential possession of child pornography at Foster's residence on December 16.
In response to this concerning information, detectives confiscated a flash drive and several SD cards from a book bag that belonged to Foster. This revelation subsequently prompted the issuance of a search warrant at his residence. In the course of the search, additional digital storage devices were uncovered, exacerbating the gravity of the situation.
Foster allegedly confessed to viewing and downloading pornographic images, as well as acknowledging ownership of the seized items. Subsequent to the admission and the findings, he was arrested and incarcerated, facing a substantial bond of $320,000.
This occurrence is not an isolated incident, as there have been prior instances of Disney World employees facing comparable charges, encompassing theft and implication in child predator and human trafficking sting operations.
