Video Shows Zakir Naik Refuses To Share Stage With 'Orphaned Girls', Internet Calls Him Out

New Delhi: Controversial radical Islamic preacher Zakir Naik, who is on a visit to Pakistan , sparked a controversy yet again by leaving the stage abruptly during an event when he saw girls getting on the stage on Wednesday.

The purported video of the incident surfaced on social media showing Naik walking off the stage when the host called the girls for felicitation. The video was widely shared on social media. Naik was invited to the event to present awards to the young orphaned girls but he walked off the stage when the host called them for felicitation.

The event was hosted by the Pakistan Sweet Home Foundation, which supports orphaned girls. 

Naik is scheduled to deliver a series of public speeches in major cities in Pakistan , including in Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore, as per reports. Further, Naik is expected to lead and address Friday prayer congregations during his visit.

Meanwhile, the radical preacher was accorded a red carpet welcome by the Pakistani government after he arrived there on October 1. He is expected to stay in Pakistan till October 28. The preacher later met deputy prime minister Ishaq Dar ahead of his meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
