DLF's Rajiv Singh tops 2023 real estate rich list; check who else made the cut

The real estate sector saw 11 new additions to the list of individuals worth over Rs 3,000 crore, marking a 27% growth in the sector's total value

Rajiv Singh and his family from DLF, with a total wealth of Rs 78,900 crore, topped the 2023 Hurun India Rich List for real estate developers. They are closely followed by Mangal Prabhat Lodha and the family behind Macrotech Developers, with a total wealth of Rs 52,800 crore, as reported by Hurun India. This list spotlights 52 real estate developers in total.

Real estate's rich

The real estate sector, in its entirety, has witnessed expansion, with the total valuation surging by 27 per cent, as indicated by the list. Third on the list of richest real estate developers is Chandru Raheja and family of K Raheja Corp, with a wealth of Rs 45,700 crore.

 

 

The broader Hurun India Rich List 2023 declared Mukesh Ambani and his family from Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) as India's wealthiest individuals, with a total worth of Rs 8,08,700 crore. They were followed by Gautam Adani and his family from the Adani Group, with a wealth of Rs 4,74,000 crore.

Within the real estate developer category, Niranjan Hiranandani from Nidar claimed the fourth position, boasting a wealth of Rs 38,600 crore. Arjun Menda and his family from RMZ secured the fifth spot with a combined wealth of Rs 37,000 crore, and real estate mogul Vikas Oberoi of Oberoi Realty ranked sixth with a wealth of Rs 28,700 crore.

Other notable figures in the rich list included Jitendra Virwani of Embassy Office Parks, holding the sixth position with a wealth of Rs 22,700 crore, and Raja Bagmane of Bagmane Developers, whose wealth amounted to Rs 22,600 crore.

Notably that the real estate sector has contributed 52 names to the list of individuals worth over Rs 3,000 crore, including 11 new additions in the past year. The growth in the combined value of the real estate industry has been 27 per cent, as reported by the Hurun India Rich List.
