BCCI to Give Team India a Cash Reward of Rs 131 Cr For Winning T20 WC 2026. How Much Did Rohit Sharma's Men in 2024 Get?

T20 World Cup 2026: The T20 Indian team that just won the World Cup would be receiving a whopping Rs 131 cr from the Board of Control of Cricket in India. It is no secret that the BCCI is the richest board in the world and such a whopping amount would only motivate the players to do even better in the future.

The BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed the announcement and said: “The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a cash reward of INR 131 crore for Team India following their triumphant campaign in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. 

In fact, the 2026 T20 win was a landmark moment because India became the first team to win three T20 WC titles and also are now the only side to successfully defend their title. 

How Much Did Rohit's Men Get in 2024? 

This is heartwarming as the Indian board increased the cash-reward for winning the title in 2026. Back in 2024, Rohit's team got Rs 125 Cr as prize money from the BCCI for winning the title. This means the prize money has increased by Rs 6 Cr in 2026. It is clear that the BCCI is leaving no stone unturned to motivate the champion cricketers. One has to admit that the Indian board truly takes good care of their cricketers who time and again make them prouyd at the world stage. 

What Else Did SKY's Men Get? 

Not just Rs 131 Cr, the victorious team also received the official prize money from the International Cricket Council (ICC).

The ICC prize for the champions was USD 2.34 million (around Rs 21.5 crore).
