Women's World Cup 2025: Team India captain Harmanpreet Kaur has revived MS Dhoni's iconic pose in front of Mumbai's Gateway of India after the Women in Blue's historic win in the final match at the Women's World Cup 2025.

India clinched a dominating 52-run win over South Africa in the summit clash at the Women's World Cup 2025, at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, on Sunday, November 2.

Harmanpreet Kaur Poses With Women's World Cup Trophy

A day after the victory, Team India captain Harmanpreet Kaur struck a dapper look and posed with the prestigious Women's World Cup trophy at the Gateway of India in Mumbai.

The last time, it was MS Dhoni who posed with the Men's ODI World Trophy at the Gateway of India in Mumbai, following India's win over Sri Lanka in the final in 2011.

The BCCI Women took to their official social media handle and shared the pictures of Harmanpreet Kaur with the prestigious silverware.

"Leader. Champion. Icon. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur with the prestigious ICC Women's Cricket World Cup Trophy," BCCI wrote on X while sharing the pictures.

India Clinch Dominating Win Over South Africa

The final match between India and South Africa was delayed for two hours due to rain. Before the start of the game, South Africa won the toss and decided to bowl against India.

India put 298/7 on the scoreboard in the first innings after Shafali Verma (87 runs from 78 balls), Deepti Sharma (58 runs from 58 balls), and Richa Ghosh (34 runs from 24 balls) played powerful knocks.

During the run chase, Deepti Sharma and Shafali Verma led the Indian bowling attack and bundled out South Africa at 246 to clinch a 52-run win. Deepti picked up five wickets, and Shafali took two scalps in the second innings.
